They Called Them RAF 2Cs
DESCRIPTION: "Oh, they found a bit of iron what Some bloke had throuwn away, And the RAF said, 'This is just the thing We've sought for many a day.'" They take this and other parts, build a strange aircraft, mass-produce it, "And they call then RAF 2Cs."

NOTES [54 words]: The "RAF" of this song is not the Royal Air Force but the Royal Aircraft Factory, source of, among other things, the BE-2C, for which unpopular aircraft see the notes to "The Pilot's Psalm." For some reason, this particular plane seems to have been the subject to an extremely large fraction of Royal Flying Corps songs. - RBW
