NOTES [54 words]: This is one of several injured-son songs that Steve Roud lumps with "Mrs. McGrath." The there is obviously the same, but the words are completely different, and this song omits the recruitment motif. Although it may have been inspired by "Mrs. McGrath," I would consider it too different to be considered the same song. - RBW
