NOTES [54 words]: This of course is historically inaccurate; Oliver Cromwell died in 1658, and the Battle of Waterloo was in 1815. Similarly, the Queen of England at the time of Waterloo was Queen Charlotte wife of George III, not "Queen Elizabeth." I wonder if there wasn't an earlier version in which it was Napoleon who lost his shoe. - RBW
