NOTES [72 words]: This is so precise a parody of the westward migration song "Uncle Sam's Farm" that I think it must be sung to the same tune. I'd say about 80% of the text of Stout-FolkloreFromIowa's version is taken from "Uncle Sam's Farm." List-SingingAboutIt-FolkSongsInSouthernIndiana's version is very similar to Stout's, and while the tune is not identical to "Uncle Sam's Farm" as I learned it, it certainly appears to be derived from it. - RBW
