NOTES [53 words]: The subtitle of this in Shoemaker's 1919 edition, "A Song That Will Live." Ironic that it was the first song in the 1919 edition to be purged in the later edition. To be sure, the end of World War I made it irrelevant, but it's hardly worse than any of the other non-traditional pieces Shoemaker afflicted upon us. - RBW
