NOTES [74 words]: In his liner notes to JamaicaFaithWorkPlay Roberts writes, "A Jamaican version of a British ballad, complete with references to Port Royal and other local geographical features. The singer, 76 at the time of the recording, learned the song during the First World Was, but is probably a good deal older than that." I don't know if Roberts is saying that he knows a British ballad that is the basis for "Take Me Away." I don't know such a ballad. - BS
