Over the Rainbow

DESCRIPTION: "Somewhere over the rainbow Way up high There's a land that I heard of...." If you don't know the rest, just wait for the next television rerun.

RECORDINGS:
Jim Eldritch, "Over the Rainbow" (Fragment: Piotr-Archive #663, recorded 09/13/2023)
NOTES [51 words]: It is noteworthy that Derek Piotr's informant Jim Eldritch learned this for a school pageant, not from tradition. I was surprised that it doesn't show up in Patricia Averill's camp song catalog. Possibly that first interval (some-WHERE, a leap of a full octave) makes it too hard for some people to sing. - RBW
