The WITrinidadVillage02 Spiritual Baptist hymn is the five verse Sankey version, in that text's sequence, rather than -- for example -- The Methodist Hymn-Book's eight verses with the five sung in a different sequence. Donald R. Hill and Lise Winer, liner notes for WITrinidadVillage02 have this as "Sankey into Shout." After the second verse the singers of words have to compete more and more with singers, in tune, of "bam, bam,..." After the fifth verse the hymn continues without words and some "bams" and "bums" give way to "whoops." - BS
