Old Cross Road, The
DESCRIPTION: "Oh, my brother, take this warning, Don't let Satan hold your hand, You'll be lost in sin forever" -- but you have the choice to take the Old Cross Road. One road leads to Heaven, the other "down below"; let Jesus take you by the right one

NOTES [74 words]: There is a moderately well-known hymn by James Rowe called "The Old Cross Road." This isn't the same; that begins, "There are man paths through this world of sin, But there's only one I shall travel in." Hymnary.org does not seem to have any versions of this hymn. I wonder, given the number of unique hymns in Roberts/Agey-InThePine, if there wasn't someone in that part of Kentucky churning out hymns that never spread outside the area. - RBW
