NOTES [50 words]: The English version of this is a healing chant, not properly a song, but Porter reports two distinctly different versions, both poetic, so I thought it just enough of a folk song to include it. And it certainly endured well and crossed a lot of territory, since it was also found in North Carolina! - RBW
