NOTES [71 words]: Greig/Duncan5 notes that Greig's version is a composite. - BS
The Greig/Duncan3 fragment reads "A shoemaker neat and fine, My lovie was a shoemaker, Shoemaker neat and fine, My love's a gallant shoemaker." In the notes, Greig declares, "The words are stated to be a chorus, but the music for the verses is the same." Roud lists this fragment as #5974, but I'm guessing it's the same as Ord-BothySongsAndBallads's song. - RBW, (BS)
