NOTES [56 words]: The Seaforths are, I assume, the famous regiment the Seaforth Highlanders. The reference to "the Turk" immediately made me think of Gallipoli, but the Seaforth Highlanders did not fight there. One battalion, however, fought in the Mesopotamia campaign, which was also against the Ottomans. So I would assume this song refers to that. - RBW
