NOTES [55 words]: Although this does not seem to have been widely collected, it appears to me certain that this was the basis for the song "If You Miss Me at the Back of the Bus," credited to Charles Neblett and famous for having been recorded by Pete Seeger. This hints that it was better known than the handful of collections would indicate. - RBW
