NOTES [85 words]: This is a parody of a popular song with the same name, popularized by the Paul Whiteman Orchestra in 1928; later recordings by Connie Francis and Marty Robbins were also popular, and it was recorded by Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra among many others. It had words by Edgar Leslie and Horatio Nicholls (Frederick Lawrence Wright). Despite all its popularity, the original song doesn't seem to have made a dent in tradition, whereas this parody about a heavily disguised woman has been collected several times. - RBW
