Greig/Duncan8: "The first two lines resemble [1547 'Strichen's Plantins' Da']." I don't see this at all, but cf. Greig/Duncan8 1855, "Black Men Are the Bravest."
Is black the color of her hair or skin? In this case it seems that black hair is being contrasted with white skin. - BS
