NOTES [55 words]: There is a certain technical virtuosity in this, in that the singer manages to find some sort of melody for all the state names, but I find myself thinking that, unlike most teaching songs, having a tune just makes it harder to remember. The version in the Piotr archive must be fairly new, since it includes Alaska and Hawaii. - RBW
