Dale Borusky, "I'll Sail My Ship Alone" (Piotr-Archive #562, recorded 04/18/2023)
NOTES [93 words]: Dale Borusky had this from his grandmother, Pearl Jacobs Borusky. I find this interesting -- Borusky was of course alive in 1950 when this song was popular, but not particularly young; it wouldn't have been a "legacy" song for her. Just a little comment on the nature of tradition.
This was reportedly Moon Mullican's biggest hit (he was one of the four authors, under the name Morr(e)y Burns), and was widely recorded by country and pop artists -- Wikipedia lists recordings by Patsy Cline, Jerry Lee Lewis, Hank Williams, George Jones, and many others. - RBW
