NOTES [42 words]: Beck says that one version of this gives the bad man's name as Solomon Levi. There is a song "My Name Is Solomon Levi" (Roud #15423; Jolly-Miller-Songster-5thEd #164), but it does not appear to be this although there may have been cross-fertilization. - RBW
