NOTES [40 words]: This is very flowery, making me think it has not been folk processed much. It feels like a rewrite of "Dublin Bay (Roy Neal)," transferred to the Shannon and given a happy ending. I think; the ending in the O. J. Abbott version is abrupt. - RBW
